Landscaping for Wildfire Resilience

Registration required. The Theodore Payne Foundation in Southern California is offering a free Zoom seminar on garden design and maintenance to help protect homes in high-risk fire areas. This program will introduce you to the basics of wildfire through the lens of California native plants and offer easy actions you can take at home to create and maintain a beautiful landscape that is both wildfire resilient and habitat rich.

While most of the data and plant recommendations are Southern-California specific, this free seminar gives great information on the effect wildfires have on the local ecosystem, how to select native, local species, and how to protect your home.
